With a very athletic and top-notch freshman class coming in, the softball team is off to the best start in a long time with a record of 8-1. One of the top freshmen who prominently plays varsity is Eme Gray. She plays pitcher as well as a right field but says she likes pitching better. Her pitching arsenal includes fastball, changeup, and curveball. Eme has pitched in three games with two of them being full games and has gone undefeated.

The other freshman who is greatly contributing is Reese Kessler. Reese is the number one pitcher on varsity but also plays some JV in the outfield. Reese is also able to throw the fastball, change, and curveballs just like Gray. Reese has pitched in six games, but only two full ones. Reese says “Coming into this season I was not expecting to play varsity but I worked hard and it feels amazing to be able to play at this level.”
