Saturday, February 2, the LC gymnasts finished 1st at the tumble for the cure meet, beating Perrysburg who is predicted first in the district. LC finished with 139.4 as a team score with Meredith Zeiter leading the team finishing first place all around with a 35.59 and Bailey Johnson following her, finishing second all around with a 35.15. The gymnasts will be attending districts on February 22, at BGSU, hoping to finish in the top 2 to advance to state. At previous meets, they have finished in the top 3 while each meet they improve their team score. The girls are working hard to advance to state while some of the girls are dealing with difficult injuries, but nothing is stopping their drive to make that extra step. This would be the first time ever that LC gymnastics has gone to state as a team. The last year a gymnast went to state as an individual was in 2014 and there is a high chance that will change this year.
