Due to the Liberty Center Tigers remarkable football season, the boys’ basketball season has been pushed back. The football team played up to the state semi game, which was held on November 24th. The basketball team was supposed to have their first game this Saturday, the 30th. However, due to the high amount of athletes playing both football and basketball, it is necessary that the season is postponed.
Most athletes who play in both sports are taking a week break in between seasons due to the extended football season. Playing back to back sports can take a toll on your body, so most of the players are gladly taking the short break. Therefore, the first 2 games of the season are going to be rescheduled for a later time. The athletes are expected to return to practice on December 3rd at the latest. The first game will be played on December 14th. The Tigers will be facing Wayne Trace at the Liberty Center Gymnasium. Come out and support the boys’ basketball team as they begin their season!
