This past week, the Tigers had senior night at Rex Lingruen Stadium against Swanton. It was very cold and rainy as the Tigers looked to continue their win streak in the league. After the 1st quarter, the Tigers found themselves up 14-0. Zach Bowers scored both touchdowns. One was a 53-yard run and one was a 28-yard run. The Tigers were up 27-0 in the 2nd quarter and the first play of Swanton’s drive was a 65-yard run that got stopped on the 8 yard line. The next play, the Bulldogs completed a pass to a receiver for a touchdown to put them on the board. At halftime, the score was 27-7.
The ending score was 40-14, as the Tigers end up 8-0, (5-0) as Swanton is 2-6. (0-5) Zach Bowers led the Tigers in rushing with 137 yards on 14 carries. Jarrett Krugh led the team in passing with 167 yards, completing 12 out of 16 passes. Jarrett also hit a great milestone, as he hit 1,000 passing yards in a season. That hasn’t been done since 2005 for an LC quarterback. Leading the Tiger defense in tackles was Connor Keller and Carl Yaney with 7 apiece. This week, the Tigers travel to Bryan to face the Golden Bears. Hope to see you there!
