This week’s Player Spotlight is Sam Engler. Sam has led the ladies soccer team to a 12-0-1 record, which is the best in school history. “At the beginning of the year, I was struggling. Then as I started to practice at it, I got better midway through the year, and now I feel like I’m rolling.”  This past week, the ladies beat their rival Archbold 1-0 for the first league title in school history. Sam in fact, had the game winning goal with 1:21 on the clock. “I actually thought I missed it. I thought it was wide left. When it went in, I was so happy and excited.” I asked Sam about the team’s postseason chances. “Very good. Our hardest task is Archbold in the district final, but we can’t let up in the first couple rounds.
