The girls softball team has officially started practice. The girls have been hitting and throwing indoors throughout the offseason but have been looking forward to getting outside. Practices usually consist of hitting and throwing drills, but they also work on the ground and catching fly balls. Conditioning for the girls usually consists of sprints around the bases or running post to post in the outfield.

The seniors on the team are Maghan Skeens, Hanna Jeffers, Sydni Altman, Hailey Sheets, Olivia Leatherman and Alexis Carter. Probable positions for the seniors include Meghan Skeens at first base, Hannah Jeffers plays second base, Sydni Altman at shortstop, and Hailey Sheets at third. For the outfield, we have Olivia Leatherman playing left field and Alexis Carter playing right. Come on out March 12th and watch the Lady Tigers scrimmage Van Buren at Liberty Center’s home field.
