The Liberty Center Tigers held their boys basketball senior night against the Ayersville Pilots on Tuesday night. The Tigers were down by three at the half with a lot of momentum going into the second half. Liberty Center would let this game get away from them later in the third quarter, the final score ended up being 49-34. The seniors for Liberty Center consists of Christian Kahle and Cody Buote. Kahle scored his first two points this year on the first possession that the Tigers had. This would be the only two points that he ended up with by the end of the game. Unfortunately, Cody Buote was not able to play in his last home game due to a knee injury.
Cody’s plans after high school are to attend UNOH to major in high performance cars. Christian plans to study civil engineering and continue his football career into college. He is undecided of where he would like to attend at the moment. The Liberty Center Tigers will be back in action on Friday to face the Bryan Golden Bears. After this, the Tigers will have their tournament game on Tuesday, facing the Swanton Bulldogs once more.
