The Boston Celtics have started off very hot with a record of 10-2. Boston started off the season with two losses, but after that they have won 10 straight games. In the latest game, the Celtics played the Los Angeles Lakers. They started the game hot with a 21-point lead in the second quarter according to the Boston Globe. They ended up winning the game 107 to 96. The Celtics have also gone on this streak without their new star forward, Gordon Hayward.
This win streak could be because a lot of things, but the most important thing that the Celtics are doing to extend their win streak is playing stellar defense. They have yet to let an opponent score over 100 points. They are giving up, on average, 93.2 points per game. The Celtics production from players like Kyrie Irving and Aron Baynes have been outstanding this year and has led them to these victories. The Boston Celtics may have a shot at the finals if they keep playing like this.
