The Liberty Center Tigers season ended last week after a hard fought win against the Patrick Henry Patriots. The varsity team went 7-3 this year, barely missing the playoffs. Liberty’s first game was against Tinora, The Tigers overcame the Rams 30-0. Week 2 was against an old-time rival, Napoleon, After four well-fought quarters, Liberty Center pulled out with the win 24-7. Week 3 rolled around and the Tigers found themselves facing the fastest team they would face all year. Woodward fought well but ended up losing 38-6 making the Tigers 3-0. Week 4 came around and it was Liberty’s first league game against Evergreen. Liberty came out with the win 56-20.Week 5 was the battle of 109, Liberty Center against the Delta Panthers, Liberty pushed through and won 56-13 making the Tigers 5-0.
Week 6 looked to be the hardest game so far against the Wauseon Indians. Wauseon gave LIberty a good look and overcame the Tigers 35-24. After the tough loss against the Indians, Liberty looked to bounce back against Archbold. In the end, Archbold came through 21-12 making the Tigers 5-2. Week 8 came around against Swanton, The Tigers fought well and won 28-7. Week 9 was against the Golden Bears, Bryan snuck out with the win 40-33. Week 10 arrived and it was against the Patrick Henry Patriots, a hate game. After four long quarters, Liberty Center came back and scored 14 points to tie the game at 20-20, sending it into overtime. After a touchdown and a big stop on defense, Liberty came back and won it 27-20 making the Tigers 7-3.
