The most deadly shooting in American history took place on Sunday night at a country music concert in Las Vegas. The world quickly became consumed with grief for the victims and their families. Well, most of the world anyway. Former CBS executive, Hayley Geftman-Gold posted on Facebook saying, “‘I’m actually not even sympathetic [because] country music fans often are Republican gun toters.” Monday, Geftman- Gold was fired from her position as “vice president and senior counsel of strategic transactions at CBS.’” The post went viral and became a trending topic on Twitter. The shooting caused at least 59 deaths and more than 520 people to suffer injuries. Despite political differences, the post was uncalled for and disrespectful to the victims and loved ones.
