Throughout the season, Hanna Jeffers has proven herself to be a fantastic athlete on the volleyball court. For Liberty Center’s game against Wauseon on Tuesday, Hanna was named “player of the match” by Maxpreps. Jeffers, who plays a defensive specialist (back row), has grown, not only as a competitor, but as a team member.

In an interview with Hanna, she mentioned that during this volleyball season, she has learned how to be a team player. Her favorite thing about this year is her teammates, being a senior, and the larger coaching staff that has been added to the program. When asked what her biggest accomplishment has been, Hanna replied “I can cover middle like a boss now.” Her biggest challenge this season has been not having high enough standards for herself and as a team. The girls’ toughest opponent in the league, according to Jeffers, has been Swanton. Outside of the league, the toughest team they have played was Otsego. Hanna’s advice to the classes behind her is to be a team player and not to be selfish when it comes to the game of volleyball. The next game for the Lady Tigers is on Tuesday, October 3, at Evergreen. Head on out and show your support for Hanna and her teammates!
