On Tuesday, September 12, the Liberty Center soccer team played Wauseon. The Tigers set a fast pace and quickly took the lead in the first half. The Tigers led 4-0 at the half with scores from Zach Miller with one, Jacob Hoffman with two, and Alex Starkey with one. Kaden Chamberlain received a yellow card with an illegal slide. However, the Tigers quickly recovered and started the second half with the same intensity. Parker Strauss added another goal followed by two more from Tanner Reimund. Weston Kundo added one final shot at the end of the game to give the Tigers an 8-0 lead. After this they settled the pace down and played a more defensive game to ensure that the keeper, Orry Killam, would put down another shutout on the record. The defense only let three shots on goal, all saved effortlessly by Orry. The Tigers are now 4-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the NWOAL. The next game will be Saturday, September 16, against Cory Rawson at 11 am, with the JV to follow.
