Last Friday night, the Liberty Center Tigers faced the Tinora Rams. The Tigers had a good start to the quarter with a 58-yard run by North West. The drive was stopped after a couple of penalties, but Orry Killam led the way with a field goal to make the score 3-0. On the Tigers’ first defensive play, Conner Sonnenberg got an interception to stop the Rams drive right where it had started. The Tigers ended the quarter leading 3-0. In the second quarter, Jarrett Krugh rushed for a touchdown to make the score 10-0. Orry Killam added a field goal and North West rushed for a touchdown to make the score 20-0 at the end of the half.
The third quarter looked to be a long one for Tinora as their first play was an interception by Austin Like. In the third quarter, Maguire Vollmar rushed for a 1-yard touchdown to make the score 27-0. Orry Killam closed out the game with a field goal to make the final score 30-0. With the win, Liberty Center has a record of 1-0. Next week Liberty Center will travel to Napoleon High School to take on the Wildcats in an old-time rivalry.
