On August 31, 2017, the boys soccer team played Swanton on their home field at Widewater retreat center. The Tigers started off the game strong with a goal in the second minute. However the bulldogs quickly answered with two goals to take the lead 2-1. The Tigers decided that Swanton had the lead long enough and scored two more goals in the half making it 4-2. In the second half Swanton gave it all they had but were just no match for the Tigers. The Tigers scored 6 more times in the half for a final of 10-2 with another Liberty Center win.The team also won their season opener with a 4-1 win over Delta at the Panthers’ field. The panthers scored early in the first half, but were quickly answered by a goal from Tanner Reimund and Alex Starkey. With this energy the tigers stayed strong with Parker Strauss adding two more second half goals to secure the win. The team is 2-0 this season with 14 goals in these two games, more than they scored all of last year.
