The week following Easter was very eventful. On Sunday, a man named Steve Stephens posted a live video on Facebook of him shooting a random bystander, Robert Godwin, in Cleveland. Stephens remained on the loose for two days, with a $50,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. On Tuesday, when police were closing in, he killed himself in Pennsylvania. The Boston Marathon was held on Monday, April 17th, on the four year anniversary of the marathon bombing.
On Wednesday, former NFL player convicted of murder, Aaron Hernandez, was found dead in his Massachusetts jail cell, two days after being acquitted of a homicide. His brain will now be taken to be studied for CTE at Boston University. On Wednesday, Serena Williams announced that she is 20 weeks pregnant with her first child. Also on Wednesday, Bill O’Reilly was fired from Fox News. After a series of sexual harassment complaints earlier this month, 21st Century Fox fired the popular news host.
