On Saturday, April 15, Liberty Center hosted its track and field invitational. The Tigers competed against Lake, Delta, Maumee, Stryker, Rogers, Otsego, Bowsher, Sylvania Northview, and Northwood. Top finishers of the day for the Lady Tigers were Jerica Hollenbaugh placing first in both shot and disc, and Burgin Bachman placing second in high jump and 300m hurdles as well as third in the 100m hurdles. Kenzie Detmer finished third in the 400, Maddie Atkinson took third in the 800, and Abby Heath placed third in the shot. The girls 4×100 relay team placed third, the throwers relay placed second, the 4×200 placed second, and the 4×800 placed third.
For the boys, Ryan Demaline placed first in shot and disc, Jared Sturgell placed first in pole vault, and Cameron Stark placed first in the 3200m. Logen McCullough finished second in the 200m followed by Mateo Espinoza in third. Kyle Rauch placed third in the 3200m, and Blake Graber placed second in long jump and third in the disc. The boys 4×100, throwers relay, 4×200, and 4×400 teams all took first place with the 4×800 taking second. The Lady Tigers came back to take the lead during the last two events of the day taking first place with 136 points and Lake taking second with 135.5 points. The boys also took first place with 182 points followed by Maumee with 119 points.
