The Liberty Center boys basketball team took a trip to Ayersville last night to play them on their Senior night. The Pilots take pride in their basketball program, so the Tigers knew they were in for a battle. Since it was Ayersville’s senior night, instead of having the starting five get introduced and come out of the tunnel, they had all their seniors on the team come out. They also started five of the seniors, but just a few minutes into the game they subbed in their original starters. The crowd began to cheer when the original starters came into the game. At halftime the Tigers were down by one after a layup by the Pilots at the buzzer. The game continued to be a back and forth battle up until the end of the fourth quarter when Ayersville started to pull away with it. The final score was 58 to 45 with the Ayersville Pilots taking the win on Senior Night.
