On Friday, January 13, the boys and girls bowling teams took on their long-time rival: the Patrick Henry Patriots. The teams have played each other once before during the 2016-2017 season where the Patriots came out on top by 156 pins. The Tigers came back last week thirsty for a win, and that is exactly what they got. Liberty Center’s leading games came from Lillian McLaughlin with scores of 198 and 181, and Jill Clapp with a 189. Leading Patrick Henry were Megan Rosebrook with a 168 and Hannah Kinder with a 167. Going into the bakers, Liberty Center was up by 141 pins. With the score so close, the coaches decided to leave the starters in for all three baker games to ensure a win over the Patriots. Consequently, Liberty Center won the baker games with a close 30 pin lead taking the Tigers to victory.
