Yesterday in Izmir, a city in western Turkey, a courthouse was attacked by 3 armed attackers. The attackers were armed with Kalashnikov rifles and grenades. The attackers ran into the courthouse with a car and opened fire on police. During the fight, the attackers detonated a bomb in the car. The explosion killed 2 of the attackers, a policeman, and a court worker. The explosion also injured 11 other people, including civilians and police.

Turkish cities have been recently attacked by Islamic states and Kurdish militants. They suspect that this one was caused by the Kurdish militants due to early evidence. After the attack, more guns were found, leading to suspicion of a bigger attack planned.
