The 2016 election is over and a new president has been chosen. Despite losing the popular vote by 184,596 votes, Donald Trump, Republican Party, won the election by electoral votes 276-228. He had 59,240,076 votes. Trump’s vice president is Mike Pence and his wife is Melania Trump. Hillary Clinton lost despite winning in the popular vote. She had 59,429,038 votes. Her vice president was Tim Kaine and her husband is Bill Clinton. Some other votes that were cast were for Gary Johnson, Libertarian party, and Jill Stein, Green Party. Johnson got 4,030,15 votes and Stein got 1,203,013 votes.
